Clinical and science researchers lead the list of people living in Scotland recognised in the King’s birthday honours list for their work in health, social care and life sciences.

Professor Moira Whyte, the Sir John Crofton Professor of Respiratory Medicine and former Director of the Medical Research Council (MRC)/University of Edinburgh Centre for Inflammation Research and Head of Edinburgh Medical School, becomes a Dame.

Also recognised are the former CEO of NHS Highland, Pamela Dudek, Antoinette Parr, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s General Manager of Medical Illustration and Clinical Physics, and the Chief Executive of Epilepsy Scotland, Lesslie Young.
