The Creative Breaks programme is looking for applications from the third sector for grant funding to develop and deliver respite projects for carers.

The £600,000 fund is for projects or services for carers of adults, young carers, and those they care for.

Short break activities can include overnight stays and residential breaks, as well as days out, and shorter, more regular activities.

All should give carers a chance to look after their own health and wellbeing, have a life outside their caring role and ultimately benefit the relationship between carers and those they look after.

Potential applicants can contact the Short Breaks Fund team to get involved in workshops and phone-in sessions to help them build a strong application.

Full details on the fund including how to apply and how to access the workshops are available here: https://www.sharedcarescotland.org.uk/creativebreaks/

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 20th May 2021.
